It was on the shallow waters that I saw this small cleft, it reminded me some fairy-tale way going very far. I decided that this is my new spot for a new painting.
But that was not so easy. Waves and tides were revolving the sand, storming onto my easel and scattering my brushes.
Once the sea would calm down and I got my hopes up to start creating, I had some spectators coming behind my back, revolving even more sand around. I saw numerous divers taking a selfie with me as well. Amateur divers were sitting next to me to take photos. Some divers kept appearing under my nose to wave at me and show “thumbs up”. Still, it took me 4 dives 1.5 – 2 hours each to complete the piece.
P.S. Underwater artist Olga Belka appreciates the Alexei Chernyaev’s diving club in Dahab for all the help and support in creating this painting.
