This small sketch was painted in the Maldives, on top of one of the pinnacles. I had only one dive at my disposal lasting up to three hours. There were mostly old coral cones on the top, already outmoded. The weather was overcast. Everything seemed dark and gloomy despite it being only 10 meters in depth. But so many fish were around! An orange flock against the dark blue water. And dark blue fish against the orange coral. It was an incredible pleasure to be in the middle of this! BTW the blue fish is called triggerfish. That’s why I chose such a name for my painting.
