Sea currents caused by tides are very strong. This is especially apparent in the coastal zone at shallow depths. Sitting on the bottom I am at risk to be simply blown away along with my easel and palette or to be thrown from side to side by the surf. It is noteworthy that the indigenous inhabitants of the sea also find it difficult to resist this force.

Lead weights, the garlands of which I hang around myself, help me a lot. With these garlands, I feel myself like a decorated Christmas tree. The fish find their natural shelters in the form of a rock or coral. It is easier for clownfish, their mobile house is always nearby. This fish can stand with its face against the current and catch food flying into its mouth. In the case of being tired, it can hide in an anemone.

Indeed, the surf wave can confuse everybody. All the time moving rhythmically left-right, you do not have time to turn. Also, rhythmically, from side to side, the tentacles of the anemone are blowing like hair in the wind.

P.S. Underwater artist Olga Belka thanks the Anantara group and especially the Anantara Dhugu resort in the Maldives for hospitality, full assistance, and support, as well as the Aquafanatics dive center for safety and the best diving conditions when creating this underwater artwork.
